Day 1

Arrival at Leh Airport

Arrival at Leh Airport, an elevation of 11500 feet above the sea level. You will be received by our representative and transferred to Hotel The Zen Ladakh at 0800 Hrs. Welcome on traditional way, welcome Tea/ coffee and Breakfast will be served. Half day rest to get acclimatizes. Afternoon drive to Visit Shanti Stupa, Tsemo Castle and Local Market. Dinner.

Day 2

 

After B/F Have Local Sight Seen

visit Spituk Monastery, Kali Mata, Pather Sahib, Magnetic hill, Confluence of Zanskar- Indus River. Magnetic Hill is a gravity hill located 15 km from Leh towards Kargil . The hill is alleged tohave magnetic properties strong enough to pull the car uphill and force passing Aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference. Dinner.

Day 3

Morning drive to Nubra Valley (App. 125/05 Hrs) km crossing Khardongla Pass 18360 ft

The world highest motor able pass. Afternoon visit Diskit&Hunder Monasteries along with the 100ft tall Maîtrea Buddha statue. Members will also visit the silvery sand dunes with perhaps a Double humped Camel Safari. Dinner.

Day 4

 

Morning visit Samstanling Monastery and then drive back to Leh via Khardong-La pass.

Evening free in Leh bazaars for last minute shopping, in Leh items like pure Pashmina shawls, good pearls, Chinese cutleries and beautiful Ladakhi wooden handicrafts can be purchased. Dinner.

After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake

Full day drive 148 km through Chang-La pass 17,400 feet. Visit beautiful Pangong Lake forms a part of the border area between India and China. This large lake is an altitude of 14,000 feet above the sea level has variation of colours, visit the 3 idiot shooting point. Enjoy your evening at the bank of the Lake. Dinner.

After B/F start for Pangong Lake

Pangong Lake (Length 130 Kms & Width 5.6 Kms whose 2/3 part is in CHINA - App. 160 Kms / 05 Hrs), Packed Lunch, Late evening back to Leh, Dinner.

After breakfast drive back to Leh

Drive back to Leh on the way visit to 16th century Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery and Hemis Monastery and 3 Idiots Rancho Schooland Sindhu Gath. Dinner.

General Details

Leh:

Leh was the capital of the Himalayan kingdom of Ladakh, now the Leh district in the Indian State ofJammu and Kashmir. Leh district, with an area of 45,110 km2, is the second largest district in the country, after Kutch, Gujarat, Leh was an important stopover on trade routes along the Indus Valley between Tibet to the east, Kashmir to the west and also between India and China for centuries. The main goods carried were salt, grain, pashm or cashmere wool, charas or cannabis resin from the Tarim Basin, indigo, silk yarn and Banaras brocade.

Nubra Valley :

Nubra is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley. Diskit the capital of Nubra is about 150 km north from Leh town, the capital of Ladakh district, India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra (the valley of flowers). The Shyok River meets the Nubra or Siachan River to form a large valley that separates the Ladakh and Karakoram Ranges. The Shyok river is a tributary of the Indus river. The average altitude of the valley is about 10,000 ft. i.e. 3048 metres above the sea level. The common way to access this valley is to travel over the Khardung La pass from Leh town.

Pangong Lake:

Pangong Tso Tibetan for "long, narrow, enchanted lake", also referred to as Pangong Lake, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to Tibet. Approximately 60% of the length of the lake lies in Tibet. The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. All together it covers 604 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. It is not part of Indus river basin area and geographically a separate land locked river basin.

If cancel within 10 days of Departure No refund will be given in any case.
